As part of the annual member fee for Auckland Freediving, pool entry is included for all our training sessions. This continues to be the case, however Tepid pools are making some changes to their fee structure which means use of the spa pool and sauna are no longer included in our hireage fee. If you're training at Tepid Baths and wish to continue using the spa pool after training, you will need to purchase a swim plus upgrade wrist band at the reception for $2.
Please see the email from Tepids below for more details:

Subject: Swim Plus Zone - User Group Comms
Good Morning,
Yesterday an update on behalf of Auckland Council Pool and Leisure Centre’s was sent to all of our members and 10 pass holders regarding the changes to our Sauna, Steam and Spa areas; which will now be called our Swim Plus Zone.
This change comes with the recent Local Boards review of fees and charges across the network and aligns with the updated aquatic pricing at all our centres, to include an entry fee for Swim Plus. Having different entry options have made it more affordable for many of our public to enjoy Auckland Council pools.
Along with this change, those 16 years and under will no longer be able to access our Spa from 30 September, for health and safety reasons. The overexposure to heat for long periods of time is dangerous especially for children. And our community's health and safety are our top priority. We are also aligning with the Spa policy of all our other Auckland Council pools.
From 30 September 2024, all Swim Plus Zone users, both members and non-members, will be required to wear a wristband while using these facilities.
As user groups booking lane space in our main pool, your lane booking does not include access to these areas. Should any participants attending your booking wish to utilise the Swim Plus Zone they will need to purchase an ‘upgrade’ to the Swim Plus Zone at reception. Casual adult Swim Plus Zone upgrade is $2 and concessionary Swim Plus Zone upgrade is $1.20, members can scan their membership card for a wristband.
This is a new process for everyone, including our staff, so we appreciate your patience and kindness as we get used to the new system. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask!
Ngā mihi nui,
Tepid Baths
