Welcome to the Vertical Green  – AIDA Auckland Depth 2025!

Auckland Freediving Club are proud to host the Vertical Green  –  AIDA Auckland Depth 2025 at the Lake Pupuke. Canoe Club – 1A Northcote Road, Takapuna, Auckland 0622.

Comp Details

  • Two day event Saturday and Sunday 29-30th November
  • Depth Limit 50m (Rec Grade limit 30m)
  • There are limited spaces available 15 Competitors (10 AIDA Competitors and 5 Rec Grade Competitors)
  • 3 Dives per Competitor   –   Disciplines: CWT CWTB CNF FIM   –   Standard AIDA Competition Rules
  • Full competition Counter Balanced Depth platform, Internationally experienced Judges and Safeties.

Winners for both grades will be decided on the highest points total between three different disciplines – ie. FIM, CNF, and either CWT or CWTB. For comp graders especially, please brush up on the rules here.

Accommodation

There is a number of motels and lodges in local area, along with some good Airbnb options.We do have some limited billets available, if you are keen to get a space please indicate on the registration form you will receive after purchasing your competition ticket.

AIDA Competition Grade

AIDA Competition Grade registration consists of:
1 – Payment of fees via ticket purchase from Auckland Freediving Club event page.
2 – Completion of online registration form, sent via ticket purchase confirmation email.
3 – Scanned pdf copy of passport. Email to President@aucklandfreediving.co.nz by 1st November 2024.
4 – Scanned pdf copy of Medical Certificate of Non-contradiction to freediving signed and stamped by a physician, no older than 1 year at the conclusion of the competition. Email to President@aucklandfreediving.co.nz by 1st November 2024.

Recreational Grade

Recreation grade is for those new to competitive freediving. Divers in the ‘rec grade’ will compete in the same disciplines, but with relaxed rules and against other recreation grade divers. These dives will not be eligible for international ranking, but will appear on the Freediving New Zealand Recreational Grade Ranking on the Freediving New Zealand website.You cannot have entered recreation grade in a depth competition before to compete in this grade.Rec Grade registration consists of:
1 – Payment of fees via ticket purchase from Auckland Freediving Club event page.
2 – Completion of online registration form, sent via ticket purchase confirmation.
3 – Scanned copy of Medical Statement (using AIDA Int Medical form). If you answer yes to anything in the Medical Statement, then you must have it signed and stamped by a physician as Medical Certificate of Non-contradiction to freediving no older than 1 year at the conclusion of the competition. Email to President@aucklandfreediving.co.nz by 1st November 2024.

Entries

Entries will be limited to 15 divers, so be sure to register early!
Entries close on 14th November 2025. To enter, you have to be 16 years old or older.
AIDA Grade for FNZ Club Members is for members of these New Zealand Freediving Clubs: Auckland Freediving Club, Breathtakers, Christchurch Freediving Club, Waikato Freediving Club, Lazy Seal Freediving Club, or Queenstown Freediving Club.
AIDA Grade for Non-FNZ Club Members is for all other AIDA competitors. Must be a member of another AIDA National.

Cancellation Policy

Should there be any reason which means the event cannot run in Auckland full refund of ticket (Entry) purchase cost will be made.

If you need to cancel:
A – Before 11th October 2025 full refund of ticket purchase
B – After 11th October 2025 and before 14th November 2025 will incur a $40 administration fee
C – After 14th November 2025 no refund available for cancellation

$85 – Recreational Grade (Non-AIDA Grade – Never done a Depth competition before)

$100 – AIDA Grade for FNZ Club Members (Auckland Freediving Club, Christchurch Freediving Club, Waikato Freediving Club, Lazy Seal Freediving Club, Queenstown Freediving Club)

$145 – AIDA Grade for Non-FNZ Club Members (Must be a member of another AIDA National)


Standard Pricing from 12 October 2025 to 14 November 2025

$110 – Recreational Grade (Non-AIDA Grade – First time entering a Depth competition)

$130 –  AIDA Grade for FNZ Club Members (Auckland Freediving Club, Christchurch Freediving Club, Waikato Freediving Club, Lazy Seal Freediving Club, Queenstown Freediving Club)

$165 – AIDA Grade for Non-FNZ Club Members (Must be a member of another AIDA National)


Cancellation Policy

Should there be any reason which means the event cannot run in Auckland, a full refund of the ticket (Entry) purchase cost will be made.

If you need to cancel:

    • After 11th October 2025 and before 14th November 2024 will incur a $40 administration fee
