Every session lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes:

  • finding the right amount of weight you carry on your weight belt
  • gear check and advice
  • diving to 15m or less
  • rescue practice
  • tips and help from AFC members

Entry requirements

  • 18 or more years old
  • to not have medical conditions that prevent safe freediving
  • to be confident in the water

There are no entry requirements for prior freediving or spearfishing experience.

 What to bring

  • a wetsuit, 5mm preferred
  • a mask and snorkel
  • a weight belt with weights
