Our Club Intro Membership is a three-month membership that includes the safety induction (three sessions of pool inductions over three Mondays at Tepid Baths) at the beginning.
After you have completed the pool induction, you can join any AFC pool training session you choose and/or sign up for depth inductions at Lake Pupuke. You may also join member-only events and AIDA-grade competitions.
You will have three months to learn the basics, connect with other club members and try out different sessions to see what suits you best. We designed it so you can get a good feeling for our club.
Your pool induction sessions will take place over 3 Mondays. After you have completed your pool induction, you can continue training with AFC with full member benefits until you have reached 3 months of membership. See ticketing options below for exact dates. You can sign up as an annual membership at a later point.
First week need mask snorkel weight and weight belt, wetsuit. Second and third week need same as first week plus fins.
Most of the gears can be found in Ocean Hunter in Takapuna.
- 8th June brief theory session, trying to hold your breath underwater and a swim test
- 15th June swimming with fins underwater, rescue practice
- 22nd June swimming without fins underwater
- join any training session at any of our pools until 31st August
- You have to attend the first three guided sessions to start training with the club.
